"Transparent textures" are no special textures, you simply switch on "transparency" (button below the editor window) when using in face edit mode.IP: Logged |

Sorry you misunderstood, I meant to say semi-transparent textures like windows, portholes or doors.I am trying to create my own set of textures, so I am not restrained to the egyptian theme all the time. but I am restricted without semi - transparent textures. Any help? IP: Logged |

I use a simple texture as a window and using transparency to make it transparent - looks good Remember: itīs not 100% transparent.IP: Logged |

Also: If you want to create a texture such as a window with some parts solid and some completely transparent then launch a paint program , open an existing texture file that has transparent textures(ie:arctic.tga)and using the eye dropper or color picker tool click on a tile which has a bright pink color. Now paint the parts you want to appear transparent with that color and save your file. ------------------

The coastal ruins TGA has a 'glass' texture which works quite well when applied with the transparent button on...don't forget to use the double sided button if you will be viewing from both sides. Also, don't forget that these types of textures have to be applied between two rooms using the toggle opacity button. Refer to manual for specifics.IP: Logged |
